Professional Services Engineer, APAC
I'm currently part of an international team opening a new office in Sydney, Australia. In addition to helping our customers in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific Islands solve Apple deployment problems, I'm training integrator and reseller partners to sell our products and deliver our services. I also work cross-functionally with the sales and support teams to help close sales and provide solutions to customer support cases.
Professional Services Engineer
As a member of JAMF Software's Professional Services team, I worked directly with K-12, enterprise and government customers on several large projects, including building Casper Suite infrastructure in a high availability environment to support over 30,000 Mac and iOS devices, imaging and deploying over 10,000 Macs in less than a month, and developing custom deployment workflows when off the shelf options aren't quite the right fit. During this period, the Professional Services team consistently maintained over 90% customer satisfaction.
Lead Systems Engineer
At Macuity, I led a team of Apple Systems Engineers in both pre and post sales engagements, and managed IT infrastructure overhauls for our clients. My team built a robust cloud infrastructure for hosting JAMF Software's Casper Suite for our customers. I also established strategic partnerships with a number of vendors, including JAMF Software, Aerohive, Meraki and Rackspace.
After Macuity was acquired by CREST Technologies in December 2012, I continued to serve as the engineering lead for the consulting team, in addition to driving several projects to integrate the IT systems of Macuity and CREST Technologies, including a full-company transition from hosted exchange to Google Apps.
Apple IT Consultant
After leaving Apple, I began freelance IT consulting for small and medium businesses in the Syracuse, NY area. Starting with one small graphic design firm of 5 employees as my first client, I doubled my business month over month for the next year. In November 2010, I relocated to Chicago, IL and maintained an ongoing relationship with my Syracuse clients. In December 2010, I took on a long term staff augmentation project with a midsize marketing firm, deploying and managing a fleet of 250 Macs and over 300 iPads. In November of 2011, I began a long term network and server infrastructure overhaul project for an advertising firm with several Fortune 500 clients.
Mac Specialist & Visual Coordinator
As a Mac Specialist and Visual Coordinator for an Apple Retail store, my time was split between providing solutions for customers and managing the front of house demo machines and in-store displays. As a Mac Specialist, I consistently exceeded sales goals, regularly appearing in the top 5 in total revenue for my store, grossing over $1M in revenue in a 12 month period, and maintaining a 9.6 net promoter score, all while half my time was dedicated to non-sales activities.
As the Visual Coordinator, I assembled and managed a team to assist with overnight floor sets, planogram changes, imaging computers, merchandising and upkeep of visual standards. My team developed new standards for deployment and management of demo systems that were implemented company wide, and assisted regional management in developing new merchandising standards for mini stores.
